On May 16–17, 2025, we had the honor of participating in the prestigious PIETA fair in Dresden – one of the most important funeral industry events in Germany. PIETA is a meeting place for professionals from the funeral and cemetery sectors, a space for sharing experiences, presenting modern solutions, and reflecting on how to commemorate life with dignity.
We would like to sincerely thank the organizers for giving us the opportunity to present our floral stand, as well as for the trust placed in us by commissioning the creation of the main floral-artistic installation at the entrance to the fair.
Special thanks go to Mr. Gerd Sperhacke, the PIETA exhibition director, for his kindness, openness, and support in bringing our floral-artistic concept to life.
Main Decoration – the Entrance Composition
The main decoration, created by me and displayed at the fair's entrance, featured an impressive wreath suspended in a steel frame. The structure was made of natural moss and branches, forming a raw yet elegant base. The central elements were red and black roses – flowers with strong symbolism, perfectly expressing the emotional depth of farewell. Hanging the arrangement within the spatial steel frame gave it a light and modern feel, catching the eye of visitors from the very first steps into the fair.
Floral Stand – Variety of Farewell Forms
Our booth showcased a variety of funeral floral arrangements that can accompany a final farewell:
- A large funeral heart made from fresh flowers in shades of white, cream, and green, with subtle touches of purple – conveying a message of love, tenderness, and gratitude.
- A pastel-toned urn decoration with delicate twigs and natural accents – a graceful and gentle composition complementing an urn ceremony.
- A funeral bouquet made of cut flowers, combining classical beauty with a personal, individual touch.
Funeral Floristry – The Art of Expressing Emotion
Funeral floristry is a special field where flowers become messengers of emotion – sorrow, gratitude, love, and memory. The decorative possibilities are almost limitless – from traditional wreaths to urn arrangements, bouquets, garlands, and contemporary artistic forms. The key lies in a personalized approach and the ability to reflect the character of the departed.
Participating in PIETA was an incredibly valuable experience and an inspiration for further growth in funeral floristry. Once again, thank you for the trust and for allowing us to be part of such a meaningful event.
With floral regards,
Anna Janas
